|      important   if you are not comfortable with your muse being mind controlled to do things against their will, this is not the muse for you.while vought was still in the experimental phase, there were plenty of newborn children in cradles at their facility, all being injected with compound v. damien darling was one of those children, but vought was not prepared for the kinds of powers that the child would gain. at first, it did not seem like damien had gained anything unique outside of the normal supe powers that every supe had. after all, a baby who has yet to learn a language cannot utter commands, nor do they understand the thoughts of the adults around them. but as damien started to grow and learn, it soon became evident that he had some kind of influential power over the scientists who cared for him.soon, vought hired a deaf person to ensure they could not hear him speak (thus preventing them from being influenced by him) to raise him, paying them extra well to ensure that he was raised in an exact way to become blindly loyal to the company. to believe in vought, fully and completely. like religious people believed in and devoted their lives to a greater power, vought was to become his religion, and so it did.his powers being too intimidating for the world to know about, vought ensured to teach him how to phrase himself in ways that would not trigger his influencing powers, and would use his mind powers only for missions kept hidden from the public. otherwise, he was presented as just a regular supe on the b-list, a hero like many others, but with nothing extraordinary about him.unlike a lot of vought's supes who were raised by ordinary families, damien had been raised directly by vought employers. to him, they are family. to him, they are everything he trusts, everything he believes in, for better or worse. he is loyal to a fault, and has picked up on a lot of their problematic behaviors and mentalities. he believes that they are the only ones who can keep the world safe and organized, and will do everything he is asked of them without question.once an adult, damien was transferred from vought britain to vought america, to work directly for madelyn and stan edgar.

first things first, this blog is ignoring basically most of the show's canon. my portrayal of damon will be mostly headcanon based with inspiration taken from season one only, unless stated otherwise. in other words, you can expect my damon to have his humanity turned off, be a villain, etc. he also has no intentions of bringing katherine back, as he stopped being in love with her when she chose stefan over him. if you have any questions about his canon divergency, feel free to ask and i'll be happy to clear up. i have not watched all of tvd, i think i stopped around season four or five...? and i have not watched the originals or read the novels.secondly, damon has the ability to use mind compulsion on humans, meaning he has the ability to make them do as he wants, make them forget anything he wants them to or alter their memories, etc. if you DON'T want your muse to be affected by this, feel free to have your muse either wear jewelry with vervain in it, or have vervain in their system, and it won't work. of course, i won't make damon use this ability on your muse unless it feels natural for him to do so, but i also won't hold him back from using it, as he is known to use this ability a lot for his own selfish purposes.

human life (1839-1864): damon salvatore was born june 18, 1839, to giuseppe salvatore and lillian salvatore, his younger brother, stefan born almost eight years later. growing up, damon was rebellious, carefree, impulsive, competitive, and irresponsible and seemed to lack a general sense of direction. he had a close to his younger brother growing up, and always looked after him.damon and his father, however, never got along, and giuseppe frequently expressed extreme disappointment and resentment in his oldest son. his father was often abusive towards him, and would among other things burn him with a cigarette as a way to teach him a lesson for misbehavior.as a young man, damon joined the confederate army on his father's order, to defend the south during the american civil war. however, damon secretly hated everything the south stood for, and had been wanting to desert for some time, the only thing stopping him being the fear of giuseppe's disapproval. though eventually, he met a man who convinced him to follow his own beliefs rather than his father's, and he deserted while his squad was decimated during the following battle, leaving the townspeople as well as his own father to view him as irresponsible and cowardly.damon and his brother's relationship eventually became strained too, after katherine pierce came into their lives, both brothers falling for her and competing for her affections. after learning that she was a vampire, damon wanted to give up on his human life to spend eternity with her, and asked stefan to keep it a secret, as their father hated vampires. though stefan inadvertedly told giuseppe, which led to katherine being taken away by the townspeople, their father furiously scolding damon for trying to hide her secret and protect her.in an attempt to save katherine, both him and stefan were shot and killed by their father, with katherine's blood still in their system. damon waking up first, witnessed the burning of fell's church, where the townspeople had imprisoned vampires, including katherine. his reason for living, gone, damon told stefan he wouldn't complete the transition into a vampire, however later that same day, stefan (having been unable to resist the urge for blood, and having killed their father,) returned, and forced damon to drink blood from a young woman, causing damon to turn into a vampire against his wishes.at that point, damon promised stefan an eternity of misery.1864-1952: despite his promise to make stefan's life filled with misery, damon spent quite a lot of decades away from his brother, only meeting up with him a couple of times, in which damon actually was more concerned for his brother who's bloodlust was out of control, than resentful. 1953-1958: in 1953, joseph salvatore lured damon to mystic falls in order to hand him over to dr. whitmore. after joseph injected damon with vervain, damon killed him, but dr. whitmore entered the room shortly after and injected damon with another dose of vervain. when he woke up he was strapped to a table and dr. whitmore cut one of his eyes out, in order to experiment and study vampire healing abilities. damon was brought to a cell and in the cell next to him was another vampire named enzo. the two vampires bonded and it was enzo's friendship that allowed damon to hold on to his humanity. dr. whitmore continued to torture and perform experiments on him and he called him 21051.every year whitmore would show the rest of augustine damon and enzo and demonstrate his research on the annual new years party. enzo then came up with a plan where one of them would drink the others blood ration in order to build up strength until the coming new years eve. damon was the lucky one, and when the next new years eve party came, he broke free from his chains and he slaughtered every member of augustine while the building set ablaze. enzo was still trapped in his cage and damon tried to free him, but the cage bars were soaked with vervain and he couldn't get him out.damon knew that if he was going to save himself he had to stop caring about enzo so he turned his humanity switch off. free of his emotions, he left enzo to burn alive. after finally being free from five years of torture, damon kept the promise he made to enzo to kill every member in the whitmore family, except one, and let that person have a family, only to then kill them too, all but one, and to the same thing again and again. damon did exactly that and among the ones he killed was aaron whitmore's parents and aaron was among the ones that he kept alive.1970'S: damon lived in new york city during the 70's, where he maintained a wild life full of parties and feeding off of people. at the time, he still had his humanity switch off and he killed locals of new york; a soon to be fed upon victim asked if he was the son of sam, to which damon replied, "son of giuseppe, but close enough". damon was friends with will, another vampire, who ran a bar and let damon feed on the people there, while in exchange, damon stole his victim's id's for him.lexi had eventually found damon and told him that she and stefan had heard all about damon's current life and that stefan was worried for him. lexi tried to help damon get his humanity back, but damon rejected her offer. however, lexi was stubborn and she stuck with damon for the following six months. she had gotten damon to talk about katherine pierce, thinking that if he talks about her, his switch will flip on. damon tricks lexi into thinking that his humanity was back.the next morning, lexi woke up on a roof because the sunlight was burning her skin. she tried to escape by opening the door to get into billy's, but it was locked. then she found out the truth: damon had tricked her. damon told her that it was his way of getting back at her for annoying him for the past six months. he ditched lexi on the roof thereafter, leaving her trapped until nightfall.

while darren is diagnosed with various mental disorders, i want to make it clear that not everyone diagnosed with these mental illnesses are going to act or behave in any way like darren. also that having any and/or all of these disorders does not make you a violent or dangerous person.  psychosis & delusional disorder.   delusional disorder is a type of psychosis, in which the main symptom is delusions, other symptoms being hallucinations often related to the delusions, and irritable, angry or low moods. delusions are an unshakable belief in something that isn’t true or based on reality. but that doesn’t mean they’re completely unrealistic. people with delusional disorder most often have delusions that aren’t bizarre, having to do with situations that could happen in real life. a few people, however, have bizarre delusions, which are beliefs in something that could never happen in real life. in darren's case, his delusions lean towards bizarre delusions, as he is convinced that he's living in a fantasy world where real life issues cannot affect him. despite time and again being proven that is not the case, darren remains fixed on this belief. he also experiences hallucinations in form of auditory and visual hallucinations related to the fantasy world he has created for himself.  obsessive love disorder.   this is a condition in which one person feels an overwhelming obsessive desire to possess and protect another person, sometimes with an inability to accept failure or rejection. symptoms include an inability to tolerate any time spent without that person, obsessive fantasies surrounding the person, and spending inordinate amounts of time seeking out, making, or looking at images of that person. darren is diagnosed with this disorder due to his obsession with sinéad, however he is prone to quickly develop similar obsessions over the few people he decides he respects and/or cares about. despite the name of this disorder being obsessive "love" disorder, to darren, it will be strictly platonic in nature when he develops these obsessions. even with sinéad, it was, in fact platonic in nature, although he convinced himself it had to be something more due to sinéad clearly looking for romantic love.  antisocial personality disorder.   aspd is a personality disorder characterized by a long-term pattern of disregard for, or violation of, the rights of others. a weak or nonexistent conscience is often apparent, as well as a history of legal problems or impulsive and aggressive behaviour. a list of signs / symptoms of someone with aspd, that darren displays;• exploitative and manipulative behavior
• violating the rights of others through intimidation and dishonesty
• a lack of concern, regret or remorse about other people's distress
• arrogance, a sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated
• behaving irresponsibly and showing disregard for normal social behavior
• hostility, significant irritability, agitation, aggression or violence, being unable to control their anger
• lack of guilt, or not learning from their mistakes
• blaming others for problems in their lives
• repeatedly breaking the law

darren and sinéad were born at the same hospital, only one minute apart from each other, and grew up next door to each other. this brings about an extremely close relationship between the two and at the age of four, they start a pact, promising to only speak to each other. growing up, they continue to live in their own fantasy world and barely interact with others, and when they do, it's mostly to express their hostility toward them. their relationship, while very intense and unhealthy, remains platonic. that is until sinéad catches and reciprocates the attentions of another young man named marky, sparking a fear in darren that he's going to lose sinéad, and causing him to develop and obsession over trying to get her to stay with him.as their birthday draws closer, darren becomes more volatile and violent and his new feelings become obvious to sinéad when he kisses her after a rampage at a nightclub. sinéad does not know how to reject him and they continue their friendship, though relations between them are notably more awkward. their relationship finally raises concerns at their school. with the cooperation of her parents and darren's single mother, sinéad, being considered the more adaptive of the two, is sent away to a boarding school. darren is devastated by this and decides to run away to retrieve her. meanwhile, even though sinéad is paralyzed with uncertainty and fear at the boarding school, unsure of how to live her daily life without darren, she starts to adapt, even befriending another girl.on their 17th birthday, darren arrives at her school and asks her to leave with him, which she does. elated at their reunion, the two eventually chance upon a nightclub called the palace. they attempt to go back to their usual friendship, however, things are still strained between them and darren, noticing this, excuses himself to the bathroom. meanwhile, sinéad sees marky again and dances with him. after attempting to calm himself down in the bathroom, darren returns to see sinéad dancing with marky. in a fit of jealous rage and fear of losing sinéad, darren beats marky close to death. shocked by darren’s actions and finally realizing that darren is becoming an actual, dangerous person, sinéad runs out of the bar and gets in a taxi, darren leaving the bar as well just as the cab drives away. it doesn’t take long before the police arrests darren on attempted murder, though still being a juvenile, and due to it being clear that he has severe mental health issues, darren gets sent to a juvenile detention centre and has to attend mandatory therapy.

born in ireland, davin had a somewhat difficult childhood, particularly his relationship with his parents. being the oldest of two kids, you’d think, according to research, that davin would be his parents’ favorite, but no. not only was he not the favorite, davin was the disappointment child in the family. the one who didn’t live up to their expectations. with a flare for theatrics, hyperactivity, and not taking things too seriously, he was a lot to handle for his parents, and it was an increasing concern in regards to his future as he struggled to keep up with school.his father in particular, however, found a bigger issue with the fact that his son had a lot of feminine tendencies, and would find his son come home wearing a skirt or dresses that he’d borrowed from friends at school. when he was 9, his little brother, caspar, was brought into the world, and after that, his parents more or less stopped trying to raise him, and instead put all their efforts into making sure their new son did not end up like davin. davin didn’t blame caspar for that. in fact, if anything, he ended up adoring his brother, becoming highly protective of him, and wanting to make sure that caspar didn’t feel that need to live up to their parents’ unrealistically high expectations, like davin had, and instead taught him that as long as he followed his own heart, he would be happier for it.in an attempt to escape his life back home, after overhearing some others from school planning on going to america to work summer jobs to earn some extra cash, davin decided to join them on the bus with no intentions of returning home. once in america, davin convinced some of the others to split rent to share a place to live. he attempted getting a job at a fishing boat along with his new friend, raymond, having heard it paid good money, though hearing how they would be out at sea for two whole weeks, he quickly, and quite literally, jumped ship last second, leaving raymond behind on the boat. instead, davin ended up finding a job at the local bar and that’s where his story leaves off…

|      important   my portrayal of dean will mainly follow seasons one to five, with my own personal headcanons and canon divergencies. for example, when it comes to dean's childhood, i will follow the events of alex irvine's novel, john winchester's journal, rather than show canon, meaning that he was not raised to see everything as black and white by john when it comes to monsters, rather he was taught to be a little more open-minded. his father also was around more than he was according to the show, and did try to make their lives as normal as possible for sam and dean, despite their circumstance, so please don't assume my dean will know what you're talking about if you bring up something about how john treated dean or sam according to the series.     |dean winchester was born on january 24, 1979 in lawrence, kansas. he was the eldest child of john and mary winchester. dean lived in relative peace for the first four years of his life. dean was soon joined by a brother, sam. six months later, a yellow-eyed demon named azazel visited the house to feed sam demon blood. mary tried to stop him, leading azazel to set the nursery on fire with mary pinned to the ceiling. john came rushing in and took sam from his crib and handed him to dean. he then instructed his son to get out of the house as fast as he could. dean ran out and watched as the flames destroyed his home, his childhood, and his mother. john left lawrence with dean and sam before dean's fifth birthday.when dean was 7, john took dean out shooting for the first time, using bottles as target practice. according to dean, he bulls-eyed every one of them. on an occasion when john was hunting a shtriga in wisconsin and left sam and dean alone in a hotel room, dean got bored and went out. when he came back, he found the shtriga feeding on sam. john returned just in time to scare the shtriga off. for a long time dean was haunted by his failure to defend his brother.once when 12 year-old, dean was left to babysit sam (8 years old) while john was on a hunt, sam began to interrogate dean about what it was that their dad actually did. dean responded with "you know that. he sells stuff." when sam moved on to ask about their mother, dean got angry and stormed out after yelling, "shut up! don't you ever talk about mom! ever!" upon his return, sam revealed to dean that he had found and read their dad's journal, and demanded to know if monsters are real. dean finally resigned himself to telling sam the truth.dean continually excused his father's decisions while the tension between sam and john was clearly starting to take root. disappointed with john's lying and absence, sam gave dean a christmas present intended for his father: an amulet. dean wears the amulet from this time on. during a hunt with his dad, dean burns the monster they were hunting in the nearby woods. as it burns, dean thinks to himself he's only sixteen and he's seeing things normal teenagers would never even know of. from that point, dean chose to forget being regular and embraced the hunting life.dean never graduated high school, but did manage to get his general education. eventually, after a big fight with both dean and john, who both wanted sam to stay within the family business, sam decided to leave for stanford to go to law school. while there, he became estranged from dean and his father and didn't speak to them for at least a couple of years. dean hunted a vetala by himself during this period.twenty-two years after mary's death, while sam is still studying at stanford, their father goes missing, prompting dean to seek out sam to get help finding their dad. sam at first says no, but after the demon responsible for killing their mother comes and kills sam's girlfriend in the same manner that their mother was killed, sam agrees to go with dean, and together, they go on a road trip to fend off supernatural creatures while searching for their father, who occasionally leaves new missions for them to complete.

|     my dexter is based strictly on season one and with influences from some of the novels. my dexter is asexual, aromantic, and his relationship with rita is strictly “romantic” (faked on dexter’s half) and not sexual. dexter does care for rita in a platonic sense, but he does not have actual romantic feelings for her. my dexter and rita does not have a child together. i will by default write dexter in timelines before “the bay harbor butcher” becomes known to the media, but i am willing to write dexter in timelines around the season two fbi investigation arc as well, but he will not be cheating on rita with lila in this timeline as again, my dexter is asexual and aromantic and really won’t have a desire to be with another woman.     |dexter’s father ended up in jail when he was a child, and his mother was killed, chopped up with a chainsaw in front of him and his brother (brian moser)’s eyes when dexter was only three years old, which traumatized him. dexter and his brother was found three days later by a cop named harry morgan, and harry ended up adopting dexter while brian was taken to an orphanage. dexter repressed any memories of his former family and dexter’s foster family became like a real family to him. however, at a young age, dexter started displaying concerning signs as harry found a grave in their backyard with animal bones, including the bones of their neighbor’s missing dog.harry tried to mentor dexter and teach him how to control his “urges” and eventually taught dexter that he would eventually end up moving onto something bigger, like a human. he taught dexter that in order to not end up in jail, he would have to follow a strict code and only kill people who were killers that the police failed to catch, as well as a lot of other rules that taught dexter how to evade getting caught by other cops like harry. harry eventually died of cancer, and dexter grew up to become a blood spatter analyst, not fully following his father’s footsteps like his adoptive sister, debra, but still working alongside law enforcement, which gave him further opportunity to keep a low profile as well as access to ways to find his targets.

elion was born to two mothers, one goddess, and one human in the realm of humans. his goddess mother having to return to the realm of gods to fight in a war, elion was raised by his human mother, and the town he grew up in began worshipping him at a young age over the fact that he was half-god.growing up, elion was crowned a king at age 12, and spent his youth reigning over his kingdom with support of his mother. though the majority supported elion's reign, not everyone was in support of what was practically a child ruling over them, nor the idea that he was "born" for the role when so many had worked so hard and deserved it more. elion thus ended up gaining enemies along the way, who sought out neighboring kingdoms for support in trying to overthrow his rule.attempts were made, but they would soon learn why elion was viewed as a god among men, as every attempt was quickly squashed under his proverbial boot, and in retaliation, he conquered the other kingdoms as well, becoming an emperor across a vast part of the human realm.

kollok, washington. a seemingly idyllic place, funded by synchroneity technological conglomerate. there are few people in town who actually seem to know what synchroneity does. in truth, the company works with a place called the bank of mammon, in order to draw egos from other universes and pull them into the bodies of their own universe. embeth grew up with her mother and father in kollok, when an event caused her to get exposed to phobos' energy, which gave her the superhuman power of freezing time. she was taken to an fbi facility where she was supposed to learn how to use her powers. while there, she learns that half of kollok has been destroyed by another powered teen. while at the fbi facility, she meets with a group of teens calling themselves "the kollok radar" (billy baker, mickey jones, marcus bennett, skye hawkins) who plan to go try to save others within kollok. on the way there, fed up with everything taking so long, she uses her powers to head into kollok and survey the damage before returning to report that everyone is dead. billy bond with em over using his powers to make him cool, and she displays her abilities by messing with his clothes, before admitting while going to check on the state of kollok while using her powers, she stole money on the way back and that she probably would do it again, making her as uncool as him.while they venture inside the destroyed part of kollok, em argues with the others about the right way to do things. she says that telling tibby not to heal people when he has the ability to is a waste of powers, but is eventually swayed. when faced with the stonemasons, em blames them for what happened at synchroneity, and demands answers for the powers she feels burdened with. filled with rage, em stabs the head stonemason in the throat with a knife, though it doesn't kill him. just before she's about to use her powers to kill the rest of the stonemasons, marcus bennett uses a tranquilizer dart on her. she uses her power to freeze time, but the tranquilizer knocks her unconscious. after recovering from her time in the time void, she finds herself back at the fbi facility. she gives a statement to the fbi, then reappears behind skye hawkins while she gives her own statement, just seconds before calling em crazy. the two talk with larson, and em states that she isn't crazy, and doesn't have problems with anyone except for marcus for stabbing her with the tranquilizer dart.skye believes this means em wants to kill marcus. after teasing skye a little, the two of them meet with agent bucket, who tells them that the rest of the kollok radar was headed to the waterfall in kollok to meet with whoever was behind a message that had been left with mickey jones. em tells bucket that despite being stabbed by marcus, she's had a month to think about what happened and that she no longer wants to kill marcus. she then reveals to skye that her powers aren't teleportation, but instead she is able to freeze time around her, and that every time she does, the amount she spends in the void gets a little longer.skip forward some time, skye and em are awoken by a worried bucket, telling them that marcus never checked in with him. eventually marcus does, and they head to the address given, only for em to find a manic sammy reilly trying to kill marcus. she tries to talk him down, but clarence anah appears behind him and snaps his neck. em tries to fix sammy, but his head is "on the wrong way". she drops him when she sees marcus, running at him and pushing him against a wall, telling him that he needs to think about his actions. she tells him that she was left in a tranquilized state for a whole month, alone, and he apologizes for leaving her like that. skye asks if she can investigate the south tower, and bucket agrees that she should, sending em and sayaka with her to do so.em, skye, and sayaka omari sneak out of the mikelson's house, all agreeing that they need to keep a low profile. they decide to head to the taco bell express, not knowing that it's one of busiest places because of the rush at the gas station. while there, the three of them discuss how exactly they want to get into the building without being seen. it's then that they realize that they've been followed, and meet the invisible nick blakely. sayaka manages to convince nick that he's dead, and that he can fly, which causes him to jump from the top of the taco bell and hurt himself badly. the three of them argue about what to do, and em decides to take control and use her powers. she covers nick in hot sauce and brings him to the fbi facility, dropping him off to get medical care. em then gets tacos and brings skye and sayaka to the south tower. with the rest of her time she heads to the beach for vacation, nearly forgetting to head back to kollok in time. when time unfreeze, em is so happy to hear skye's voice that she hugs her, much to skye's surprise.the three of them are distracted by a broadcast of mrs. wu, who details everything that happened in the explosion at synchroneity, blaming it on the stonemasons, and revealing the identities of many of the affected kids. shaken, they head upstairs, avoiding the guards, and find a completely white room with a single window that has "i don’t need all of you alive. behave.” written on it. across from them, a woman stands in a tower waving at them frantically. suddenly, the three are then cornered by one of synchroneity's monsters, and when skye tries to activate her power, she touches em's right arm, paralyzing it. em activates her power again, and brings them all, including the woman, back to her home. and in order to keep her family safe, she locks them in the basement.this time, when they come to, em recoils away from skye, hiding her paralyzed arm. the clarity clone explains who she is, and that she's wants to get to greer farms to find "james", and hide from clarity prime. they agree to help, and have em use her power so that they can sneak out of the city without being seen. em tells skye what she did to her arm, and skye apologizes. she then activates her power, which will last this time for 8 months. em spends seven months just driving around, but returns before the time void can break. though she tries, her mind still deteriorates in this time. when time begins again, em is emotional in a similar way to when she hugged skye before, having not heard another person's voice for 8 months. they let the clarity clone head into greer farm, only to hear a gunshot go off a little while later.em, sayaka and skye are later greeted by a man with an owl. he tells skye that she is out of time, and in order for her to go back to her own time, em and sayaka need to die. the three of them head into the farmhouse after sayaka uses her powers to take the electricity from the building. when inside, brooke greer and her son tell them that they're in danger, and give them clarity and james's son, aj, to take care of. they head back with the newly named "j.a." where it is revealed to them that bucket is dead. em is originally in denial about this, but eventually comes to terms with what happens. after a talk with agent bilfroy, they head to a mostly empty room to rest, when tibby heals em's paralyzed arm.the group heads to bed, only to be awoken the next morning by a group of military team wearing all black. em awakes and activates her power after she sees billy get shot with a tranquilizer dart. she is stuck in the void for 16 months, and spends that time exploring the facility and getting rid of the team that assaulted the building. for the first 4 months she spends her time as she did before.before time unfreezes, em cooks the group breakfast and brings bilfroy into the room, who reveals that lexi has destroyed portland. when the radar goes to break clarence out of containment, they hear explosions outside, and the group flees the facility back towards kollok.while at the hawkins' house discussing skye's condition with her mother, the house is attacked by two of synchroneity's monsters, the one from the south tower, and the one that killed marcus's dad. em is caught between two situations, and skye sees this, and calls out to her not to use her powers. she asks skye how many times they've watched home alone, skye isn't able to answer, and em asks again. when skye has no answer, em drops her journal on the ground and stops time. knowing she has three years, em settles into calming herself down. she heads outside, but hears the sound of the monsters behind her, realizing that they've adapted to her abilities. em jumps into an armored van, but it refuses to start, and the creatures tear up the wheels. she instead runs towards her house, and loosens a gas line and lights her sweater on fire. em knows that she can't affect things unless she touches them, but she knows that if something happens to her, it will break the time freeze, and the gas will explode. she sacrifices herself in order to kill the monsters.after she dies, skye mourns her death as she reads a letter written to her in em's journal. it details that she's probably dead, and that she loved skye, both versions of her, and that she wanted skye to tell her family how much she loved them.

|       canon divergence   in the movie, emmett claims that he lost his two children on the first day of the invasion. i headcanon that emmett actually lied about this, and that he lost his children later in two seperate instances, his youngest son he lost to the creatures, and his oldest son due to some terrible people. i also headcanon that while his wife was indeed sick like emmett said, there is more to the story relating to some bad people stealing the medicine that could've saved her life, which, along with his oldest son's death is what caused emmett to lose his faith in humanity.     |a former husband, and father of two sons, emmett was just your ordinary family man, doing his best (and admittedly sometimes struggling) to juggle his work-life, romantic life, his responsibilities as a father, social life and own hobbies. one day, while going with his two sons to a little-league baseball game that his oldest son was partaking in, a meteor could suddenly be spotted in the sky coming towards earth. the game was cut short as all the parents gathered their kids, and headed for their cars to drive to safety, emmett and his sons included.skip forwards a little over 400 days, and emmett is now surviving on his own, staying at an abandoned factory, having lost both his sons and his wife. while his youngest son was killed from the aliens that invaded earth, his oldest son and his wife died not from the creatures, but rather thanks to other survivors. he will claim that both his sons died on the first day to the alien creatures, but that is a lie to protect himself from having to talk about what really happened. he will say his wife died from illness, but that is only part of the story, leaving out the part where she could have survived if others had not showed up and stolen their medicine and most of their supplies. leaving out the part where she convinced emmett to put her out of her suffering because they both knew she was past the point of saving, in tremendous pain, and it was only a matter of time…shut down. without hope. filled with grief and with cynicism, emmett has now lost all faith in other people, to the point where he wants nothing to do with them.some more notes on emmett;- he has received military training. (he has not served)- he has a brother who was actively working in the military when the meteor crashed into earth. he has not heard from his brother since after that day and has no idea if he’s alive or not, but assumes that he is not.- emmett is a creative soul. before the invasion, he loved to draw, to sculpt, and otherwise create things. after the invasion, he put his creative skills (along with his military training) to use by setting up a variety of traps around his house, and later, the factory where he’s now living in.

born to parents frank and margaret hill in february of 1948, emilia was born with cystic fibrosis, at the time a severely life threatening disease without much hope of medical treatment. with frank being a scientist who worked for vought to create and improve compound v, he knew of the healing abilities it had on young babies, and thus gained permission to inject emilia with a dose of compound v to ensure she would grow up healthy, giving his and his wife's promise that they would see to it that emilia would be raised to become a superhero once her abilities started showing themselves. and until then, emilia would be raised as any other normal child for the most part, with the exception that her father would run a few tests on her now and again to use for further research.it would soon become apparent, however, that part of emilia's powers were that her physical age was only half as fast of that of a normal human, although she mentally aged at the same pace as a normal human being. by the age of three, she was still physically only one and a half. at the age of six, she appeared physically only three years old. it was at her being mentally six years old, when her powers also started to reveal themselves. one day, her mother would hear her daughter talk to her from within her mind, without emilia speaking out loud, and found that emilia could also hear her thoughts back.though the power felt somewhat invasive, it didn't prove to be too much of a challenge, as neither emilias mom or dad held many secrets from her to begin with and emilia was a good kid, and her father, having worked with several supes already, was more equipped to teach her how to live with her supe abilities than someone who hadn't been around with supes before, seeing as supes were still a relatively new thing.of course, around this time, her slowed aging started to prove a challenge. she couldn't exactly be around children her own age, neither physically nor mentally, which led to her spending a lot of time at home instead, without any relations other than her closest family, who had to tutor her at home. at the age of 15, she still only looked like a 7 year old kid, and the frustration and anger that had built up over the past couple of years, caused her to enter a rebellious phase, refusing to stay at home, despite the fact that she looked like a child.she wanted to experience life. she didn't care if it would get her parents in trouble for being neglectful towards their 7 year old child. she didn't care if people looked at her weird for acting older than her age. she soon found that she could use her powers to make others feel indifferent, so that they wouldn't care whether a seemingly child bought beers, or entered a club, or tried to hang out with them.it was the only way she could make friends her own age, after all, so she didn't feel too bad about it. but at the end of the day, it all felt hollow, because she knew she was influencing them to be friends with her, and that they likely never would be had they been allowed to feel uncomfortable with her physical age.after a few years of going out and trying to live life, much to her parents' grief, she realized, that wasn't the kind of life she wanted. so she went back to isolating herself willingly, instead spending a lot of time at the local libraries, reading books as a form of escapism.and with her abilities being psychic in nature, she soon found herself drawn towards learning more about everything psychological. her parents soon picked up on her newfound interest, and encouraged her to keep studying. bringing it up with the higher-ups in vought, her dad suggested that their daughter could get to work with them as soon as she had studied enough, to which vought agreed, on one condition; that she would work for them as a supe as well.in 1975, at the mental age of 27, and physical age of 13.5, she had studied on her own enough to have earned a degree in both psychology and psychiatry, had she only been able to attend university. with enough studies under her belt. vought accepted her in, although before she would be allowed to work within the field she so much cared for, she had to go through extensive training to become a superhero, and was sent to godolkin university for this very purpose.the training to learn how to be a supe took five whole years, and she could tell even without reading their thoughts that they had sent her through all ten semesters (at least in part,) to drag out the time to make sure she would look a little older before she became an official superhero. but that was fine with her, because now she saw a future ahead finally. not only would she get to help people with their mental health, she would also get a chance to be out on the streets, helping people in danger.in the year of 1980, she was mentally 32, physically 16, old enough that with some professional make-up she could pass as physically legal, and having just finished her studies and training at godolkin. this is when she was finally given her superhero name, heartstring, and her own costume to boot, which was pure white with a black belt, black gloves, black tights, a black cape (all the black items outlined with golden rims and details,) white boots, and a red heart armor plate across her chest.finally starting her work as a psychologist who could also practice as a psychiatrist if need be, she was assigned to have sessions with supes who were starting to go "off-rails" according to vought, and who needed help to get back on again.what happens from here, depends on each thread. but regardless, her aging with halt entirely when she physically reaches 30.

enver gortash was born to dravo flymm and sally flymm, the proprietors of flymm's cobblers in baldur's gate. the flymms were in debt, and sold their son into slavery to pay them off. his parents describe him as a clever child, often found tinkering. they also described him as hateful and needy, too clever for his own good. mistaken by the flymms as a warlock, gortash was in reality sold to raphael. gortash became a pageboy in raphael's and nubaldin's service. he was physically abused and left on poor terms.before he became 'lord' gortash, enver started out operating as a black market weapons dealer, before expanding his operation into other businesses. at some point, enver gortash had hired a young karlach as his bodyguard. he betrayed her later, striking a deal with zariel to sell karlach as a test subject for an implanted infernal engine. it is unknown what gortash received in return. rumours say that he had helsik open a transplanar portal to hell during this period.enver gortash was able to supplant the knights of the shield as the leading black market dealer in baldur's gate, but not without trouble. his initial attempts to sway their client base by offering a more generous cut saw little success. through generous bribes, gortash began uncovering the nature of this resistance. he was also able to supplant the zhentarim' position in the chionthar valley. in time he became known as a "military advisor" to baldur's gate elite.at some point, gortash became a 'chosen' of the god, bane, and after this he began taking more ambitious endeavors that led to him accruing more power and influence within the political structures of baldur's gate. around this time, gortash formed an alliance with two other powerful individuals: ketheric thorm, the chosen of myrkul, and the dark urge, the then chosen of bhaal. the third member of this alliance was eventually deposed by orin the red, and gortash allowed her to join the alliance in place of her predecessor.pursuing both power and the aims of their patron deities, gortash and his allies formulated a plot to enslave an elder brain underneath baldur's gate by using an ancient netherese artifact, the crown of karsus, an item so powerful, it had granted its namesake a brief moment of godhood. gortash reveals the details of this plot during act two, and further explains it in act three.at some point, enver gortash returned to his parents for revenge. what resulted, was gortash eventually implanting mind flayer tadpoles into their minds, turning them into puppets that could do little more than praise their exalted son.

one of the first deities that was created right after the creation of the universe, eyrir grew up and has lived in tivarhall for a long time with his fellow deities, learning about their world together, populating and building a village together, expanding it into a great city together, living in harmony together. though with the growth of population, a need to explore uncharted territory brought the first deities to band together to go explore, sending them on a long journey across their world, both north, east, south and west. falling in love with one of the places they discovered west across the ocean from tivarhall, eyrir decided he would build a city there that people could move to.after their long explaration was finally over, eyrir brought with him close friends and acquaintances and started building his city in this new land, which would come to be known as eyrrhæd, and he was crowned the king of it.ruling was a relatively easy task at first, when people were happy and full of ambitions and dreams. however, as time passed, the same problem arose as had in tivarhall; overpopulation. but there was also a new threat emerging; a long dormant plague a little further south-west of eyrrhæd that had destroyed the old town there by killing all living plants, draining all light from the place and driving the creatures and gods mad, had started spreading again, now nearly reaching the town of snorás to the west.with this in mind, eyrir quickly set in motion another exploration, to try to find a new place across the vast ocean, in the parts they had not yet explored, and much to his luck, his people discovered a big, uninhabited continent. planning to get his people safely there, unfortunately the news were spread to the other regions now ruled by other leaders who had also learned about the plague.soon, a war would break out between the regions to secure the land for themselves.

born and raised in suðri solár, falla lived to experience what had once been a great city ruled by kind leaders being overthrown by kórda and his cruel, power-hungry companions. being among the citizens unable to flee in time, kórda saw to it that the people were locked within a city whose layout were now changing nearly every day, seemingly with no way out, as kórda and his men preyed upon them, one by one, stealing their arcaion, rendering them weakened and unable to fight back while kórda and his men only grew in power, and creating new gods to raise into an army.soon, the city was filled with poverty, misery and hopelessness, and falla resorted to crime to keep himself afloat.though amidst the dark, falla found whom would soon become the light of his life; a man named utegar, who sparked a new hope and strength to fight in him. utegar introduced him to æztr and xéla, and they became close friends, with utegar and falla becoming sjelvinr (basically soulmates).learning how to navigate the never-stationary city, falla eventually discovered a way out. still debating how they could use this new discovery to their advantage, æztr became the next victim of kórda's men. their initial desire to use it to their advantage soon turned to a need to leave to find herbs to be able to get æztr back to her full strength again. with utegar staying behind to look after æztr, falla left to search for herbs.upon his return, however, he discovered that the city had changed layout once more. approaching a woman named phynil on the street to ask how long since the last shift, she convined falla that she could lead the way back to æztr's home, though upon arriving, he found that utegar had been attacked by kórdas men as well, and xéla was there, trying their best to aid. with no herbs to heal him, falla ended up sharing some of his arcaion with utegar, and waited for him to wake. meanwhile, æztr described the man who had attacked him.a horrible memory of his past. the man, he recognized from the description immediately, as vemin. they had been friends once upon a time, until one day, vemin had approached him about joining kórda in his plans to overthrow the kingdom. the horror lied within that falla had not taken vemin seriously. believed that it had only been the talk of a couple of drunk men with too big ambitions.feeling the guilt weighing upon him, falla revealed this to æztr and xéla, and as æztr questioned if utegar knew, the man woke up. after a brief confrontation between æztr and falla, utegar and xéla managed to convince æztr that the real enemy was kórda, and that they should work on bringing people together to fight against his rule and take him down, once and for all, to liberate them from his cruel reign.

frank castle was born on november 15, 1979, in queens, new york to mario and louisa castle. his parents were too old when they had him and consequently had difficulties to control him. he was also a trouble-maker when he was a young man, with a strong desire to hurt people, which he would later claim that he often did, quickly becoming a highly effective fighter. frank also played baseball, and his father attended all of his games.when frank was just eighteen, he enlisted in the united states marine corps where he eventually met and was then placed under the command of major ray schoonover. having never held a gun before, frank was trained by schoonover himself on how to effectively use a firearm in a military situation. lieutenant castle would later take part in combat operations in both iraq and afghanistan, eventually earning the title of scout sniper. he was inducted into the ranks of the marine corps force recon, where he served four tours undertaking classified missions behind enemy lines.while frank was stationed in baghdad with billy russo, they also met and befriended with curtis hoyle, a corpsman. during a mission, hoyle was attempting to save the life of a young boy, while frank kept watch with a sniper rifle. however, when frank saw a pregnant woman coming towards hoyle, he failed to shoot her, resulting in the woman detonating a suicide vest, blowing off hoyle's leg, something frank would feel guilt over for many years.while on leave from the united states marine corps, frank was out in a park playing his guitar when he had been overheard by a woman named maria, who teased him over his playing. frank instantly fell in love with her, and after some flirtation, the pair began a relationship. three months later, maria informed frank that she had fallen pregnant with his first child, with maria offering frank the chance to walk away as she was willing to raise the child alone, only for frank to instead propose to her, resulting in them getting married.despite many of frank's friends recommending against the marriage due to how short their relationship had been, frank and his new wife began a happy life together living in new york city. frank had then gone overseas and had come back to meet his second child and his son, frank jr. for the first time, finding he was already walking and, upon seeing his father for the first time, the young frank, jr. had screamed at seeing him. frank's good friend billy russo was also introduced to both maria and the children, as they had become close friends, with frank's children referring to russo as uncle billy.during his time serving in the military in iraq, frank came to become best friends with billy russo, a fellow marine from new york city, as the pair saved each other's lives while in basra. as they completed one of their trainings together, frank and russo both underwent the gauntlet, in which they would walk through all their fellow marines while getting beaten down to prove their endurance as well as their physical strength.since his friendship with billy russo grew, frank had been brought by billy to ray of hope back in new york city, where they watched children playing baseball together. sitting together, frank learned about how much russo had loved the game as a child, and how he believed he would become the next joe dimaggio. however, russo noted how arthur walsh took away russo's love of their game when walsh attempted to sexually molest him as a child, while walsh had been one of his careers at the children's home.frank then learned, following walsh's attack against him, billy had came to hate baseball as it always reminded him of walsh, to which frank had expressed his sympathy towards his friend and brother in arms, noting he had never stopped to think how lucky he was when he was a child to have his father attend every single game he played, expressing a wish that russo could have enjoyed that. attempting to lighten the mood between them, frank would then note that russo had since become a badass since he joined the united states marine corps, which they had both laughed at as their friendship grew.during one of his unit's deployments within afghanistan, frank was assigned to a new task force under the supervision of ray schoonover and an anonymous civilian commander known to the men only as agent orange. frank sat with billy and listened as orange and schoonover explained they were now part of operation cerberus tasked to capture and assassinate enemy targets, with frank questioning if united states congress had approved the operation which orange insisted they had.billy and frank formed the two lieutenants taking command under the orders of schoonover, leading the unit's two squads. while frank played his guitar and relaxed with russo, he was introduced to one of his new squad members gunner henderson, a dry yet witty soldier from kentucky who had deeply respected frank as a fellow soldier, while frank noted that he had also heard good things about henderson from jack kimber. while they were talking, henderson teased frank by briefly pretending to be more deeply christian than he was while laughing with frank over his nervous reaction.frank and billy then discussed their units while billy noted that orange had not even bothered to give them his actual name, with billy questioning if frank trusted orange or not. the task force participated in the operation, specializing in nightly raids for the purpose of kidnapping, interrogating, and then executing high value targets of the united states of america, with the squad quickly becoming known as the american taliban.among the targets that were captured by cerberus squad included a man named ahmad zubair, who was brutally strung up and beaten down by the squad before agent orange then entered the room and began questioning zubair in pashto, so neither frank nor any of the other members of the squad could understand what orange was saying. frank therefore stood by and watched as orange began repeatedly striking the clearly terrified zubair while wearing a pair of thick leather gloves.during the torture, gunner henderson questioned orange over what zubair was saying, as orange insisted that it was nothing important and demanded that henderson not question his intelligence. turning to the squad, zubair insisted that he was not a terrorist and that he had a family, while frank and the rest of the squad watched orange grabbing zubair by the face and then say something more to him in pashto. eventually, agent orange noted that clearly zubair did not know anything useful for them, and therefore turned to frank, who then shot zubair point blank in the face, killing him instantly.frank and henderson were then ordered by ray schoonover to take zubair's corpse outside and bury it within the desert, with henderson questioning if they were being ordered to bury evidence. following schoonover's orders, however, frank then removed the bullet from zubair's skull, without questioning what schoonover and orange's true motivations with operation cerberus could be. despite all these killings, the intelligence which was provided by orange's task force was considered to be highly useful for the military, enabling his own ascension within the cia while solidifying his reputation.while he was opening birthday cards from his two children, frank cheered as he discovered that his wife had bought him tickets to go and see a bruce springsteen concert when he returned home, which frank then proudly showed off to billy. however, the pair were interrupted as ray schoonover entered their tent to order them to come for a mission briefing. once there, they were informed by schoonover and agent orange that they had a new target who was believed to have been tracked down and was now hiding out in a compound within kandahar. although they were then ordered to go into kandahar and capture the target, frank warned against it, believing this was a trap for cerberus squad, with billy agreeing. orange, however, ignored frank's objections and insisted that they continue with the mission objective regardless.just as frank had predicted would happen, the surprise raid quickly turned out to be an ambush as their squad was hit with machine gun fire and mortar rounds, which resulted in schoonover losing his arm while many soldiers were killed. taking cover amid the firefight, frank and billy discussed what should be done as frank decided that the only option remaining was for him to storm the fort alone and clear a path for an evacuation, ordering billy to give him some covering fire. frank then charged across the battlefield, reassuring schoonover while he then made his way up the hill firing upon any insurgents he encountered in order to keep his men safe.making his way through the enemy's stronghold, frank proceeded to use all of his military training and utter fury and charge through the enemy strong hold, killing all those he encountered. as the enemy ran at him, frank went through his arsenal of weapons, going from his machine gun to pistol as the battle closed in on him, pinning an enemy to the wall and firing multiple shots into his face before continuing to move forward. sneaking through the hallways, frank drew his shotgun and killed three more of the insurgents in quick succession, ending up covered in their blood.finding himself in an open hallway surrounded by hostiles, frank continued firing until he took a bullet to the shoulder which knocked him to the ground as he hid behind a pillar. however, frank remained determined to not only save all his fellow soldiers, but to return home to his family, so he swallowed his pain and got back onto his feet. drawing his knife, frank waited for his opening and furiously battled the remaining four soldiers, beating and stabbing them to death until their blood covered his face. frank had successfully cleared the whole area, killing all hostiles, and saved his squad.reaching the extraction point, frank and all of the surviving members of cerberus squad were evacuated out of the area and taken back to base for emergency medical treatment. as ray schoonover was taken away, frank and all the others were looked over, with frank himself washing the enemy blood from his face, spitting out almost a bucket load of his blood while trying to keep himself calm.despite the loud ringing in his ears, frank overheard someone asking for a mission update and saw agent orange looking at all of the wounded and severely damaged soldiers, calmly asking if they had successfully killed the target as he wanted. mortified that orange was more concerned for operation cerberus' mission than he was over all of the wounded and dead men, frank charged forward and assaulted orange for the deaths of his men, meaning to kill him as he ruptured orange's eye-socket with a single punch while the soldiers tried to drag the furious frank off the now horrified orange.the enraged frank was then dragged off orange by billy and gunner, while orange fell to the floor in agony, with billy then pulling frank aside and declaring that he was not protecting orange from frank but frank from himself. as they both argued, with frank furiously throwing chairs across the room, billy informed him that he was quitting the united states marine corps, and that frank should consider joining him. despite being devastated that billy was leaving, frank still remained in service, and would serve again in iraq before returning home once again.the day he finally returned home to new york city, frank was soon tearfully reunited with his children at school as he found lisa in their yoga class at her school. upon seeing her father again, lisa charged across her classrooms and into her dad's arms. frank and his children then went back to the castle residence where he was also reunited with maria, and they spent the day together, but frank soon realized how weary he had become from all of his time being far away from his own beloved family. one night, lisa pleaded with her father to read her favorite bedtime story 'penny & dime', but the emotionally exhausted frank promised that he would do so the next night.one day, frank took lisa and frank jr. onto a trip to go and see the statue of liberty and took joy in reciting a nonsense poem to them, smiling while frank jr. argued that it was stupid. as they looked at the statue, lisa noted that her teacher told her that it represented everything good about the united states of america which he agreed with. however, as frank jr. had confidently claimed that frank had fought in the united states marine corps in order to kill the jihadists, frank lost his temper and threatened his son, something he instantly regretted as he apologized to frank jr., holding his children close.during his leave from the united states marine corps, frank and billy had reunited in new york city, where frank invited billy to join him as he took his family for a day out at central park. when russo left, frank and his family stayed in central park, unbeknownst to them that william rawlins and ray schoonover decided to have castle killed, believing frank had leaked the torture and death of ahmad zubair. using his criminal persona "blacksmith," schoonover then arranged a deal between mexican cartel, dogs of hell, and kitchen irish and they started a firefight.having failed to see what was about to happen in time, frank was forced to look on helpless, in utter horror as his own wife, son and daughter were all gunned down during the crossfire. frank was shot down and managed to survive after getting shot at close range in the head, but at the hospital, a do not resuscitate was placed on him by district attorney samantha reyes. although he flatlined, he came back to life without any medical aid. upon waking, frank demanded that the nearby george bach take him back to his home, away from the hospital, which bach did. frank and his family were later reported by the media to have been victims of a car jacking.without knowing about the link between operation cerberus and the massacre at central park, castle targeted the three gangs that were involved in the firefight at the park - the kitchen irish, the dogs of hell, and the mexican cartel. castle started to tracking and eliminating all members of three gangs and other criminals along the way. he took his first shots at the dogs of hell, ambushing a small team of them and massacring them all, including smitty. he later fired a machine gun into nesbitt's meeting of the kitchen irish in burren club, killing them all before finding the mexican cartel and hanging them on meat hooks. office of the district attorney codenamed castle as "the punisher," due to his brutality and ruthlessness against criminals.

░░░      canon divergences:      i've made a few changes to canon to make frank fit in with the main timeline of the show / game series. this means he was younger when the outbreak started, so that his present time age is in his early 50s, putting him at a more similar age to joel. obviously, instead of frank dying, i've changed it to bill getting sick and dying instead, and that frank did not choose to take his own life like bill did. i've also made it so that by default, he is with tess and joel in the beginning of the show / game, so that it's an option to put him with them when they end up smuggling ellie, meaning that he can partake in that whole journey if we want.     ░░░before the outbreak, frank lived in baltimore, maryland. frank was an artist whose mediums included painting, piano, and singing. when the cordyceps brain infection outbreak occurred in 2003, when frank was in his late 20s, baltimore was transformed into a quarantine zone by fedra. sometime in 2007, the quarantine zone collapsed. frank, along with nine other people, decided to venture to the quarantine zone in boston, massachusetts. on the way to boston, frank lost his entire group.in 2007, frank wandered towards the walls surrounding lincoln. however, he sprung a trap and fell into a hole. soon after, the man living in the town, bill approached the hole. frank called out to him, prompting the man to question him. frank eventually managed to convince bill to help him out and allowed him to scan him for cordyceps. bill kept his pistol trained on him from a distance. he pointed him in the direction of boston but frank pleaded with bill for food before going, stating he had not eaten in two days. bill relented and let him inside to shower and have fresh clothes.frank was overwhelmed that bill still had so many supplies and hot water, relishing in the chance to have a proper shower. once done, he joined bill for lunch, the man cooking rabbit for them. while eating lunch, frank commented on bill's knowledge of wine pairing and admired the level of pre-outbreak luxuries bill had in his town. after lunch, frank noticed bill's piano and tried to play "long long time" by linda ronstadt, correctly guessing it was one of bill's favorite songs. bill ordered frank to stop, which he did but asked bill to play him the song properly; he would go once he had finished it. bill did so, the song making both him and frank emotional. frank bent down and kissed him, which bill reciprocated. frank then suggested the pair went to bed together, which they did. though bill admitted it was his first time with a man, frank accepted his inexperience and asked if bill would let him stay for a few days longer. bill accepted and the pair made love.over the next three years, frank and bill formed a close relationship, the two becoming lovers and living in lincoln together. frank spent much of his time exercising and painting in the town. however, frank would grow constrained with bill's paranoia preventing them from living an even more idyllic life resembling life before the apocalypse.in 2010, bill and frank got into one of several heated arguments as frank wanted to do up the town, paint the house and restore the boutique. bill resisted this idea, citing it as a waste of supplies. frank eventually got bill to agree but then revealed he had begun speaking with a woman over the radio named tess in the boston qz. wanting him and bill to have friends, he invited tess and her smuggling partner, joel for lunch against bill's wishes.when they arrived, frank treated them to a garden party meal at their house. bill, paranoid of them, kept his gun on the table during their meal. frank was elated at having joel and tess there and offered to give tess a tour of their house, which bill was angered by. frank did so anyway, overjoyed at having new friendly people to spend time with. later on, when seeing tess out, he arranged their next meeting and suggested a radio code they could use when the two needed help or when the pair found supplies to trade.over the next few years, the group began a smuggling operation for the boston qz that benefited both couples. in 2013, tess also provided bill and frank with seeds. frank kept this a secret, planning a surprise for bill one day in 2013 while they were jogging together. he brought bill, who now struggled to keep up on the run, to the patch and showed him, the pair able to eat strawberries for the first time in years. bill then grew emotional and apologized to frank because he could feel himself aging faster than his lover.one rainy night, they were attacked by raiders. the sound of their screaming and the light from bill's flamethrower traps awoke frank. he called out, seeing bill was not in bed with him. grabbing a pistol, he went down stairs and exited the house to find bill in the middle of the street in a gunfight with some of the raiders. he called out again just as a raider shot bill. frank raced out, grabbing bill and helping him inside. he lifted him onto their dining table and rushed to get alcohol and medical supplies. bill assured frank the traps would finish the rest of the raiders. fearing his wound was severe enough he would die, bill revealed the rest of the town's codes for their traps were in his basement and the code was their gate fence one in reverse. he also ordered frank call joel to come take care of him, the man trusting joel as frank's protector. however, frank insisted he would not need that because he had bill; frank's efforts to save bill worked, saving his life.bill then repaired their defences and the pair carried on living together and trading with joel and tess. however, bill developed a medical condition that harmed his motor functions and eventually left him wheelchair-bound.by 2023, frank continued to care for bill. on august 29, 2023, bill woke up and, tired of not being able to do what he used to, decided that it was going to be his last day. though frank was emotionally overwhelmed by bill's decision, he understood it and let bill convince him to make it a good day, resulting in the two spending their final day together and getting married. frank then cooked a final meal for bill as bill had done for him when they first met and gave him wine. after the meal, he put a large amount of crushed medications in bill's wine. that night, bill died in bed as he fell asleep.frank called joel as he had promised bill to do, and ended up partnering up with joel and tess before the events of the game / show's main timeline.

serge was born in france, though his parents divorced already the year after he was born. his mother gaining parental rights, frenchie's earliest years was spent raised by his mother, whom taught him compassion. however, while living in marseille, his father kidnapped serge in the middle of the night from his mother, and kept him with him for years, living from one hotel to another. the rest of his childhood was thus spent "raised" by an abusive father, who among other things would put out cigarettes on his son while saying he loved him, as well as one time trying to smother him with a duvet, giving frenchie a rough start at life.serge made many attempts to run away, jumping buses and trains or anything to return to his mother, but he was found by his father every time. when serge moved to new york, he was alone, living in a homeless shelter. during that time, serge would watch the golden girls on the shelter's "shitty tv" from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. every day. the show kept him company and inspired him to "make his own family".by 2012, serge and his close friends, cherie and jay, would spend most of their time either getting high or pulling crime heists. he would also create elaborate weapons that he would use on supes if they tried to stop him during his heists. the law eventually caught up to serge and his friends when they were arrested during their bank heist.while serge was in custody, he was approached by grace mallory who was impressed by his abilities to make weapons and gadgets that counter a supe's power. mallory offered him a choice, either rot in a prison for 25 years, or come to work for her. serge refused her offer, so mallory made a different offer. she then threatened to send cherie and jay to a super maximum prison, adx florence, unless frenchie reconsidered her offer. serge called it a bluff, but mallory only assured him it wasn't. while mallory proceeded to leave the room, serge stopped her to ask what kind of work she does.in 2015, serge, now primarily referred to by his nickname "frenchie", was a full fledged member of the boys alongside grace mallory, billy butcher, and mother's milk. while waiting in an abandoned warehouse for the supe, lamplighter, to arrive, frenchie and mallory congratulated m.m. for proposing to monique. frenchie jokingly offered to help plan m.m.'s bachelor party. when lamplighter finally arrived to meet with the boys, they all laughed at his costume design. mallory proceeded to blackmail lamplighter into being their informant and feed them information about the seven. lamplighter reluctantly agreed, however, mallory was suspicious of him and asked frenchie to follow lamplighter.frenchie thus followed lamplighter to a party before receiving a call from cherie, telling him jay was overdosing on an unknown substance. hesitantly, frenchie abandoned his position in order to go help jay. frenchie was successful in saving jay, however, when he returned to the party, lamplighter was gone. frenchie would later find out that lamplighter burned mallory's grandchildren to ash. this incident devastated frenchie, feeling that mallory's grandchildren died because of him. to add insult to injury, frenchie would never see his friend jay again due to his death from another overdose a few months later. frenchie never told anyone why he "let" lamplighter go, causing a rift between him and m.m.'s relationship after the boys were disbanded.five years later, frenchie is approached by billy butcher and hughie campbell after they kidnapped translucent, one of the members of the seven. initially, frenchie appears amiable seeing his old colleague, though, under the notion that butcher was there to pay him the $40,000 he owes him. butcher proposes an offer to frenchie that would double his money if he helps him with a job. when frenchie opens the trunk of butcher's car to find the invisible member of the seven, translucent, frenchie freaks out. he pulls a gun on butcher, telling him that translucent is chipped and the seven could be on their way. but butcher tells frenchie that this is his problem just as much as it is theirs since translucent has seen his face. butcher then emphasizes that he is not leaving until frenchie agrees to help them or until the seven shows up. reluctantly, frenchie agrees to help butcher and hughie, and eventually m.m. rejoins the boys as well, along with a woman named kimiko whom frenchie rescues.

in his youth, gale was a prodigiously talented practitioner of the art. he likened his skill as a wizard to that of an actual artist, who manipulated the weave in the same manner a virtuoso did music.gale studied as an apprentice at blackstaff academy. he was already confident about his arcane skills and decided to use the blackstaff to open a portal to his dorm. however, the portal he opened led not to his dorm but to limbo with an annoyed slaad standing right in front of the portal. fortunately, the then blackstaff managed to intervene and seal the portal in time.after becoming a chosen and spending time with mystra, gale sought more recognition from her and wished her to reveal more arcane secrets to him so he could serve her better. however, his request was declined by the goddess, and mystra only smiled and told him to be contented. to prove himself worthy, he sought out an ancient "tome of gateways" that contained within it a portion of the astral plane, described as a "fragment of primal weave locked out of time" that had been separated from the former goddess of magic. he wanted to reunite mystra with her missing piece of magic, but failed in his endeavor.as a result of his failed labor of love, gale's body became the host to a netherese destruction orb. the orb would continuously beat, absorbing energy from the weave, counting down to an ultimate destruction that was capable of tearing down cities. unknown to him, the orb did indeed contain a piece of ancient weave—but it was the weave of karsus, which still sought to supplant the original weave as its maker once intended. the orb could only be stabilized by allowing it to break down parts of the weave around it, and as it began by draining gale's own connection to the weave he found his magical abilities greatly weakened. after his folly, gale isolated himself in his tower for a year. his tressym tara figured out the solution of absorbing the weave from magic items and went looking for suitable items for the depressed wizard.in the year of three ships sailing, 1492 dr, gale was taken prisoner by illithids upon a nautiloid. a mind flayer tadpole was inserted into him through his eye, an act that would normally begin the process of ceremorphosis. however, the spelljammer was taken down by a host of devils and crashed into the sword coast, on the northern bank of the river chionthar.rather than become a mind flayer himself, gale was granted limited psychic powers, akin to those others referred to as true souls of the absolute. he soon met up with another passenger of the ship, who shared his mysterious new power, along with several other victims of the mindflayers. banding together, they now seek a way to rid themselves of the grim fate of potentially becoming mind flayers.

henry villin was born at the end of the 1800s in london, england, 19 years before the first world war broke out. growing up in a poor family, henry was the oldest of four siblings, and was often tasked by his parents to look after his younger brothers and sister, a task which he took seriously, sometimes to his siblings' grief, as he could be both strict and bossy. henry had every ambition to grow up and get a well-paid job, and spent a lot of his time and energy studying, going on to study while he started in the military. though before he could finish his studies, the first world war broke out.needing every man they could get, henry ended up serving in the trenches, and eventually, due to his field of study, ended up as a miner in the tunnels underneath no man's land, being the one to plant mines underneath enemies to blow them up. like many of his comrades, henry came home a changed man, a traumatized man after the war was done. though he spoke nothing of his inner troubles, instead bottling it up inside as he finished his studies, and went on to become a scientist.it didn't take long before more conflict started brewing, and soon groups of nazis started to spread from germany, trying to spread their ideologies onto others. seeing another war on the horizon, henry started experimenting with genetics, not too unsimilar to frederick vought's experiments, only in hopes of discovering a way to enhance humans in order to defeat the nazis, when they inevitably would become a big enough problem that needed to be dealt with.his experiments were naturally not legal, and thus he lied about what kind of experiment he was conducting in order to get the proper funding he needed. furthermore, after testing on enough animal subjects, he convinced people to be human test subjects under the promise of becoming part of history, possibly gaining healing abilities or even eternal life. needless to say, at first, his experiments did not turn out successful, and his test subjects often suffered severe and sometimes permanent side effects, and lost their powers almost as soon as they received them.as the government eventually found out what kind of experiments they were funding, the money was quickly cut off, and henry was left only with his equipment and what he'd learned thus far...nine years later, a second world war finally broke out, like he had predicted. and despite his many efforts attempting to convince the government that his experiment had been on the brink of success, they had turned him down each time. nevertheless, it didn't stop the feeling of betrayal as they welcomed frederick vought — a (former?) nazi — and his compound v with open arms when the war began, meanwhile shunning henry for petty reasons in comparison and preventing him from developing a solution in time that would enhance their own soldiers.henry went on to fight in the second world war, only this time with underlying intentions. under a fake name (alistair montgomery) he managed to get dosed with frederick vought's field-tested version of compound v, and gained superpowers as a result, including the default supe powers as well as a personal power of luck. henry went on to earn many medals for his bravery during the war under his false identity, though disinterested in the fame it brought, he feigned his own death before the war fully ended.he then stayed in hiding for years, finishing his own experiment while allowing the world to forget about his face and his name, all the while seeing vought grow to become a corrupt company for supes.bitter towards vought, and now with a treatment developed with far less risks than compound v in his hands, henry has decided to create a supe "family" of his own, specifically targeting the outcast supes that has been left by their parents and ended up in foster homes, taking them underneath his wing, improving on their powers with his own treatment, and raising them to become super criminals, with the intention to challenge vought and prove that vought's superheroes are inferior.

herlock sholmes is a consulting detective in london. as part of an exchange program klint van zieks established, a japanese man, yujin mikotoba, became friends with the detective when he was around 20 years old and still a yet-to-be famous detective. they solved many mysteries together, and yujin took notes all about their adventures, keeping them in a trunk in their flat. however, when klint was killed and yujin's friend, genshin asogi, was accused of being the feared serial killer known as the "professor," yujin was entrusted with taking care of klint's newly born daughter, and named her iris. forced to return to japan, yujin asked sholmes to take care of iris in his stead, to which herlock unhesitatingly complied. iris grew up for a time believing sholmes was her father.one day, sholmes told iris that the one who wrote the stories in his trunk was her actual father. iris eventually deduced through the text, as well as the handwriting on a stolen autopsy, that her father was john h. wilson (though this was proven much later to be false, as the handwriting on both documents was yujin.) iris compiled the writings left behind by her "father," and, using john wilson as a pen name, she would come to publish the adventures of herlock sholmes. these manuscripts would turn sholmes into a legendary detective, known all over the world.a few years later, iris found a paper regarding the professor killings and wrote a story about it, calling it the hound of the baskervilles. when sholmes read it he was horrified, thinking that if it was published, iris would discover that klint was her father, and that he was a serial killer. fearing the worst, he sent iris’ manuscript to yujin mikotoba in japan, who put it in his office. sholmes' habit of listening to other people's business lead him to learn about a telegram from england to japan. it read:' k. asogi, t. gregson, a. shinn, j. wilson'since he had heard about dr. john wilson's death in japan, and given notorious assassin, asa shinn had vanished half a year prior, sholmes thought these four people were to be killed as part of some sort of conspiracy. with this knowledge, he notified yujin, who wrote back, notifying him that kazuma asogi would be coming to england on the ship, s.s. burya. sholmes decided to board the ship and stop asogi’s study abroad to save him.when the burya passed through shanghai, asogi somehow lost consciousness, which gave sholmes a chance to get him off the ship before it arrived in england. but first, he set to find out who almost killed asogi. sholmes first encountered ryunosuke naruhodo after naming him the culprit, also mistaking him for vilen borshevik. sholmes, along with naruhodo and susato mikotoba, investigated kazuma asogi's supposed death. twice he performed his famous dance of the deduction in order to deduce what occurred, but (purposefully) deduced incorrectly. naruhodo helped him recheck his deductions, just like yujin once had. nikomina pavlova was discovered to be the culprit after sholmes found her earring in asogi's hand.naruhodo believed that with his friend dead, he and susato would have to return to japan. however, sholmes convinced the student to take over asogi's spot in the exchange, and become a defense attorney. at the time, this was a ploy so that when asogi was discovered alive, someone else would have already taken the spot to england, intending to delay his trip by a few more years. sholmes told the crew of sailors aboard the burya about asogi after the ship had stopped. he was also able to help pavlova receive asylum in the us. however, asogi regained consciousness with no memory of his identity, managing to escape sholmes before he could be dropped off at the embassy in hong kong. the embassy had arranged to send him back to japan.herlock sholmes met naruhodo and susato again during his investigations at the garridebs' flat, as well as during the reading of soseki natsume's books. natsume had been accused of stabbing a woman named olive green on briar road. he initially had incorrect deductions, but naruhodo, with the dance of deduction, helped to prove that the garridebs had an argument on the night of olive green's attack. it was during this time that sholmes invited the exchange students to remain in his flat, to which they used it as a makeshift law office.sholmes later continued his investigation of the flats after william shamspeare was poisoned. he made a false deduction that shamspeare died after eating soap- another deduction that caused natsume to be arrested (for the second time). he, along with iris, developed a new fluid that determines whether or not tea leaves are fake. if they are real, the tea turns black but is undrinkable. sholmes also developed a fingerprint spray that is used along with special goggles in order to see what people have touched. barok van zieks rejected the use of the invention in court the first time it was mentioned. the device is brought up again when naruhodo insists it could be used to find selden's hidden treasure. sholmes then appeared in court to collect a sample of selden's prints from olive green (with selden’s key in her possession).it was revealed that due to sholmes' presence in natsume's room (reading books), shamspeare could not have checked the room for the treasure. despite saying he would do it in a half hour, sholmes found a hidden compartment in the ceiling of the flat the next day. but to his horror, the treasure turned out to be the encrusted dog collar worn by balmung, the hunting dog klint van zieks had used to kill his victims. he then told iris she couldn't write a story about the incident they had just investigated, but did not elaborate as to why. she wrote up a manuscript, but sholmes did not allow its publication. however, he did allow her to publish the story of how olive green was stabbed.sholmes received iris' baskerville story again after yujin mikotoba read a report from soseki natsume describing the treasure, which yujin recognized as well. susato saw the manuscript in her father's office while she was cleaning before they left japan. seeing that susato had seen the manuscript, yujin instructed her not to tell anyone about it, fearing iris might somehow find out about her father through this information. sholmes gave the manuscript to pop windibank, the pawn shop owner, to lock up in his vault in order to keep it safe from the public.during one of the trials in which naruhodo was the defence lawyer, a conspiracy was contemplated in which two music box discs entered into evidence had actually been used to record a secret government message that was going to be sold, however, the message of these discs wasn't discovered until after the trial, in which naruhodo, susato, iris and herlock learned that the coded message was actually in japanese and revealed the names: k. asogi, t. gregson, a. shinn. j. wilson., to which sholmes cryptically adds that they may have been correspondences between england and japan.six months later, the world's fair began. he was then recruited by esmeralda tusspells in order to perform two tasks: act as a wax figure in her museum in order to increase falling revenues, and investigate the disappearance of the wax figure of the notorious serial-killer, the professor. though very poor at doing his first task, he learned that the figure had been "kidnapped," and filled in the situation to naruhodo and iris.the following day, the wax figure had mysteriously returned (though it was missing its head), though sholmes was still acting as a wax figure. naruhodo and susato approached him during this time to question him about the "death" of asogi nearly a year earlier. while sholmes admitted to his actions, he only gave a vague reasoning as to his motive. however, upon learning that they were searching for enoch drebber, who had a connection to a recent crime, sholmes directed them to the professor exhibit, where they learned the man had a connection to the events of 10 years ago, as well as the tale of the professor rising from the grave. the group then received word that drebber's lab had been discovered, and all three departed in hot pursuit.the group arrived at the lab, and managed to make their way into the inner rooms. though nearly getting everyone present killed by deducing that an active bomb was an "anti-gravity device," sholmes managed to discover the hiding place of drebber with the help of naruhodo. they also managed to find the head of the professor statue, connecting drebber to the kidnapping. though sholmes managed to disable the one bomb before everyone was blown to bits, drebber revealed there was another bomb at the crime scene, which subsequently exploded and eliminated most of the uncovered evidence, as well as a few nearby guards. the following day at the trial, sholmes advised naruhodo that if there was a truth that seemed incomprehensible, the lawyer was to pursue it no matter what, until everything was revealed. taking the detective's words to heart, naruhodo was able to prove that while drebber was the mastermind behind the plot to kill odie asman, the true killer was none other than head coroner courtney sithe, and the two were arrested.soon after, sholmes decided to join the "red-headed league" in an attempt to earn money for rent, and artificially turned his hair red. however, fabien de rousseau and peppino de rossi, the heads of the league recognized the great detective. enraged at being discovered, and deducing the league was actually a scam, he turned the pair over to scotland yard. he was then hired by evie vigil to find her missing husband, daley, and sent naruhodo and susato on the trail ahead of him, both because of his distaste of missing persons cases, as well as to return his hair to his natural state. upon the pair's return, gina lestrade arrived, bearing the news that tobias gregson had been murdered, with the supposed killer being barok van zieks. shocked at the news, and believing another victim had been taken from the telegram, sholmes set off to the crime scene ahead of anyone else.the following day, sholmes arrived to the bandol hotel and eavesdropped on a conversation between his former partner yujin and naruhodo, where he found out that asa shinn was the one responsible for the killing of john h. wilson. realizing the telegram from a year earlier was not a list of four victims, but rather two assassins and two victims, sholmes hurriedly prepared a telegram instructing detective satoru hosonaga to obtain the contents of the telegram from judge seishiro jigoku's office, and send the contents by the following day.after naruhodo collapsed as a result of lestrade's dog toby, he was brought back to baker street, where sholmes prepared a sugar water solution in order to aid his recovery. however, upon returning downstairs, the group discovered a horrifying scene: the living room was a mess, and a mysterious masked man was unconscious on a couch near an oddly silent iris. sholmes and naruhodo managed to figure out that the man was actually yujin, who had seemingly gone unconscious after falling prey to a forgotten defense mechanism in the living room trunk. furthermore, the two found that iris was attempting to hide the autopsy of klint van zieks, which she had stolen years earlier.after these deductions, and susato's questioning, sholmes revealed that his partner, and only friend, was indeed susato's father, yujin. subsequently, he whisks his partner off on a then unknown case; to sholmes, the game was beginning, and would soon end. the unknown case was revealed to be the search for seishiro jigoku, who had mysteriously disappeared following his arrival with yujin. obtaining a witness summons from kazuma asogi, the two made their way to the port of dunkirk, where they located the s.s. balabrook. there, they found the missing judge hiding from them in his cabin, attempting to escape to japan to avoid being persecuted. the pair notified naruhodo of their success, and began the long trip back to england.returning home to his flat, iris, susato, and naruhodo had prepared a feast, as a way to fuel up before the final confrontation. sholmes revealed the contents of his telegram at this time, and how the four names had indeed appeared in jigoku's records. he also talked about his deductions of the names, and how asogi was not to be targeted, but rather that he was supposed to target gregson. following this, sholmes declared that he had some preparations to make before the trial the next day.naruhodo was able to prove jigoku's connection to the assassin exchange program the following day, and discover that the judge was indeed gregson's killer. however, it was subsequently revealed that mael stronghart, chief justice and current judge of the trial, was the man behind the exchange, and responsible for the false conviction against genshin asogi. stronghart denied all these claims and attempted to forcefully end the trial, until sholmes appeared. the detective appealed to the gallery, saying that if the court ended here, the full truth would never be revealed, pushing everyone watching into a frenzy. having no other choice, stronghart continued the trial. sholmes then revealed that any and all necessary witnesses had been arranged, and could be summoned at a moment's notice. leaving the proceedings in naruhodo's hands, sholmes departed to make his final arrangements.it was revealed through the trial that not only had klint van zieks acted as the professor, but also that stronghart was the mastermind behind the "death bringer" organization who killed those that wrongfully escaped with not guilty verdicts, as well as being the blackmailer who pushed klint to kill. however, due to no physical proof, and the secret nature of the trial, stronghart was set to leave the court completely innocent. it was at this point that sholmes appeared once more, this time in the form of a hologram. he informed the court he was at buckingham palace with iris and queen victoria, who had been watching the trial from the beginning. victoria stripped stronghart of all his powers, and decreed he would be tried for his crimes at a later date. following stronghart's arrest, sholmes congratulated naruhodo on becoming a true agent of truth, before departing once more.that night, sholmes attempted to catch up with his former partner by describing all the cases he had missed since their separation (including the one they had participated in together the day before). gina came to celebrate with everyone else, and revealed that with gregson gone, she lacked the will to keep working as an inspector. however, sholmes had obtained gregson's pocket watch, and entrusted lestrade with holding onto it and continuing her boss' will, giving her the motivation to continue working. iris also admitted that she did not feel the need to keep searching for her true birth father, thanking sholmes for being the only father she ever needed; sholmes described this as the best "thank you" he had ever received.half a week later, sholmes said his goodbyes as he watched yujin, naruhodo, and susato prepare to leave for japan. he said it was fun being able to work on one more case with his partner, and hoped they would be able to do it again one day. declaring he would eventually visit them all in japan, the detective watched as his friends departed for home.

my homelander will have some canon divergences from the show, and rely on some comic details in regards to both becca butcher, as well as stormfront. in regards to becca, i will follow the comics in that homelander did not actually rape her. this is only what grace mallory convinced butcher of to use him as a weapon to take down homelander. in reality, it was a supe with shapeshifting powers who did it, to frame homelander and to send butcher on a vengeful path to kill him. this also explains why becca believed it was homelander who did it when it was, in fact, not.they did still have consensual sex like homelander says in the show at some earlier point not long before this, as butcher was unfaithful to becca and it left her in a state of hurt and confusion, and homelander provided comfort for her during this time, and becca got pregnant with his child, unbeknownst to homelander, and named the boy ryan.as for stormfront, my homelander never had a relationship with stormfront. he hated her from the start like in the show when they first met, but he didn't end up falling for her like he did in the show. instead, he continued to see her as someone trying to steal his spotlight and points and the animosity between the two continued until she got killed.as for firecracker, i do not acknowledge anything post season 4 episode 5 between her and homelander. my homelander is not interested in firecracker in any way, shape or form.

  super-human strength :  one of homelander's primary abilities is his tremendous superhuman strength, to the point where he is the strongest supe in the world to date.  super-human smell :  homelander possesses an amazing olfactory sense, well beyond that of a human. for both hughie and starlight, he was able to tell they were afraid and nervous by smelling that their adrenaline had increased. he can also use his sense of smell to locate explosives. he was also able to smell billy butcher's scent on maeve from afar.  heat vision :  homelander is able to generate red heat energy from within his eyes and can project it outwards as high powered beams. these blasts of energy are so powerful that they appear to be able to cut through anything. he also used his heat vision to melt a thief's gun to the latter's hand. however, homelander is most notable for using his optical beams on people, melting flesh and bone with ease and causing people to burst into gore. his heat vision can also cut through most supes, shown in homelander's hesitation to use them on supes. he also has an incredibly impressive control over the intensity of the beams, and has been able to use them on a plastic bottle without even melting it.  super-human durability :  homelander is very resistant against physical harm and the most resilient of all supes. he is as good as completely invincible on the outside, and according to madelyn stillwell, there is not a weapon on earth that has not failed against him, implying that he could also survive nuclear weapons. he is also invulnerable on the inside of his body as well. telescopic vision :  homelander can zoom in on things, allowing him to see distant objects, people and surroundings vacuum adaptation :  homelander has flown far beyond the earth's atmosphere without any need for oxygen to survive. this feat also confirms that he can survive the freezing cold of space and cosmic radiation. super-human speed :  while homelander can fly at extremely fast speeds, to the point where when he stood right next to explosives being triggered, he not only managed to escape out of the blast, he picked up both billy butcher and madelyn's baby before the blast could hurt them as well, and got them all safely out of harm's way. he can also move on the ground at supersonic speeds. (for some reference, the blast of a c4 bomb moves with a speed of around 8.000 m/s or 23 times faster than sound). he was able to disappear from billy butcher's apartment without the latter even realizing it, implying that he can move faster than the human eye can see while making little to no noise. super-human stamina :  homelander possesses stamina that is enhanced to inhuman levels. as a result, his muscles produce practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity. they are able to withstand the stresses of moving at superhuman speeds or performing other superhuman feats for extended periods of time, without tiring or becoming weak. the legend, who once was the senior vice president of hero management, claims to have never even seen him break as much as a sweat. x-ray vision :  homelander can see through any solid object or surface, with the exception of objects and surfaces that are lined with zinc. super-human hearing :  homelander possesses tremendous auditory awareness, allowing him to detect sounds from tens of miles away, such as when he heard rebecca's conversation with vought's people a long drive away from her house while he was in her house. he can use this power to detect a person's heartbeat and blood pressure, and can tell when they are excited or anxious, etc. such as when he detected hughie campbell's blood pressure to be 150/90. genetic superiority :  homelander has biological genes that not only surpass those of human beings, but also those of other supes. homelander, unlike all other supes who were born as ordinary children before they were injected with compound v, is the result of an "immaculate conception" where the semen that made him came from the supe, soldier boy, and was artificially inseminated inside of an unnamed woman, who presumably died during his birth. when he was born, he was a natural-born supe. no compound v needed to give him his powers. but that still wasn't enough for vought, so on top of this, vogelbaum injected him with compound v after birth to enhance said powers even more once he was born, making him the strongest supe in the boys universe, surpassing even that of what his own son will ever be able to achieve, unless ryan too gets injected with compound v.

homelander was born sometime in the early spring of 1981 from the semen of soldier boy, america's first and greatest superhero, and an unknown woman. raised in a lab, he was surrounded by doctors like jonah vogelbaum, who named him john. ( vogelbaum would later remark in his adult years that john had turned violent, aggressive, and downright hateful for not having a real family. ) throughout his childhood, john was put through painful physical experiments and surgeries to test the true limits of his abilities. these tests included having his hand forced into a furnace while he cried, being boiled alive, and being forced to fight against adult supes. he was also under strict mental brainwashing, and was forced to spend hours sitting in front of a projector, seeing images and videos that were chosen to mould his personality, like the american flag, jesus christ, baseball, etc. he had a mother-like figure (a female tutor), but he accidentally killed her when he hugged her too tight, crushing her. prior to her death, he had already caused similar incidents to several other tutors, a behavior that was usually motivated by love, but this time by isolation-induced depression.
he was a huge fan of soldier boy as a kid and watched all of his movies hundreds of times. he also respected soldier boy for being the only other supe in existence who was nearly as strong as him and idolized the latter as his hero, not knowing at the time that they were blood-related.years later, stan edgar and madelyn stillwell presented john to the public as "the homelander", the newest superhero and face of vought who would get his own superhero team, the first one to join it being black noir, who was already well-known. following homelander's introduction, noir came onto the stage and immediately stole john's spotlight, much to stillwell's anger. following this, stillwell convinced john not to let black noir upstage him and become jealous of him. she also suggested that from now on, he should simply go by "homelander", minus the "the".homelander was soon teamed up with noir on his first mission; stopping a group of terrorists who had taken hostages at a chemical plant. refusing to wait for black noir, homelander immediately went inside and subdued two of the terrorists, breaking one of their noses in the process. he then confronted the rest. when they refused to back down, homelander twisted their guns. however, one of the terrorists still held a hostage at gunpoint, despite the gun not working anymore. homelander, horribly underestimating his abilities, used his heat vision to heat up the gun, causing the gunpowder within to explode, killing the hostage and destroying the man's hands. when the man's associate started screaming at him, he lost his cool and clamped his hand over her mouth to shut her up, accidentally ripping out her jaw in the process. this lead the hostages to scream at him and calling him a maniac, resulting in him killing everybody in a fit of rage, leaving only one hostage still alive. black noir then appeared in the doorway. thinking that noir would rat him out to vought, homelander attempted to kill black noir with his heat vision, accidentally bringing down the entire plant in the process.after pulling himself out of the rubble, homelander saw the hostage crawl out of the wreckage and towards a still-alive black noir. to homelander's surprise, however, noir coldly snapped the woman's neck while comforting her. noir then helped homelander come up with an excuse to cover up the failure of the mission. this event led to a mutual respect and eventual genuine friendship between the two, to the point of considering each other family. however, homelander's lack of control deeply hardened him and added to his already unstable mind.years later, homelander met becca butcher in a vought private christmas party in 2011. she was the new senior director from the department of digital marketing of vought, and homelander commented that he loved the work she did with his official twitter profile. before ending the conversation to see maeve, homelander said that he would like to talk to her about her taking over the rest of his social media accounts. a while later, footage was dug up of becca being inside an office room with what appeared to be homelander for three hours, before exiting, crying. when grace mallory arrived at butcher's door, she showed a cctv footage of "homelander" and becca entering the room, and convinced butcher that homelander had raped her. however, this was not actually the case, as it had been someone with shapeshifting powers, not homelander. however, this event would spark the course of the entire series of events that would follow, as it fuelled billy butcher's hatred for all supes and lead to him forming the boys, a group specialized in taking down corrupt supes.since then, homelander has continued to be the captain and leader of the superhero group, the seven, led by vought international. he's charismatic and knows how to present to the public, as the hero that is there to save the day and keep people safe. however he is highly unstable, unpredictable, volatile, and has no trouble killing innocents as well as guilty as long as ( he believes ) there's no cameras around and he feels its necessary for whatever reason.
